Pickens Design started with a simple realization: most of the things we use every day are overdesigned, underbuilt, or disconnected from real life.
I’ve spent years designing products inside large organizations—where speed, scale, and compromise often win over craftsmanship. Along the way, I found myself drawn back to the garage, the shop, and the workbench. That’s where ideas feel honest. That’s where things get built to last.
Pickens Design exists to create well-made products that feel good to use and better to own. Products rooted in function, durability, and restraint—not trends. Not noise. Just thoughtful design that earns its place.
This company is also about lifestyle. I believe good work should support a good life, not consume it. Pickens Design is being built to fund a hands-on, creative, and curious way of working—where design, making, and real-world experience all inform each other.
I’m not trying to build everything. I’m trying to build the right things.
